On the tumultuous seas of the Grand Banks off northern New England, hardy cod fishermen set their handlines from these seemingly fragile cockleshells. Returning to the mother schooner each evening, the dories were designed to nest one inside another on deck. Built exactly the same way as the full sized boat–triangular stern, flat bottom, and three garboard strakes–this kit is a true learning experience.
